On the 4th of July, in Woodland, California, 500 bikes will roll down Main Street to celebrate our heritage and our freedom. The day will kick-off at 9:00am at Heritage Plaza, 600 Main St. with registration (for prizes) and bike decorating. You are welcome to come to the event with your bike already decorated. Children’s Museum Adds Downtown Cityscape Exhibit
The actual cityscape of California’s capital city is the newest and very popular exhibit at the Sacramento Children’s Museum (SCM), 2701 Prospect Park Drive in Rancho Cordova.
The display includes the Capitol, the Ziggurat (the pyramid-shaped building), the Wong Tower, Tower Bridge, plus other downtown structures and a couple “futuristic” buildings. Old Town is represented with older-looking structures. The Sacramento and American Rivers are lit up with blue lights. And the surrounding thoroughfare and interior streets provide roadways for children to run cars, trucks, trains, and other vehicles ...
